Women as Clergy / Ministers

  1. Women have a special mission in life that is of great importance to God.
  2. Women have strong association with the five senses.
  3. Women often react emotionally and intuitively to new situations often making their decisions unreliable.
  4. Quick response to some situations is extremely useful particularly in relation to motherhood.
  5. Adam wanted human interaction.  Did he get more than he bargained for?
  6. God gave the folowing references in relation to women.
  7. Do we believe in the Word of God?

Isaiah 3:12 My people--a babe in arms will be their tyrant, and women will rule them! O my people, your leaders mislead, they destroy the paths you should follow.

1 Cor. 14:33-35 As in all the churches of the holy ones, women should keep silent in the churches, for they are not allowed to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says. But if they want to learn anything, they should ask their husbands at home. For it is improper for a woman to speak in the church.

1 Tim. 2:9-10 Similarly, (too,) women should adorn themselves with proper conduct, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hairstyles and gold ornaments, or pearls, or expensive clothes, but rather, as befits women who profess reverence for God, with good deeds.

1 Tim. 2:15 But she will be saved through motherhood, provided women persevere in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

2 Tim. 3:6-7 For some of these slip into homes and make captives of women weighed down by sins, led by various desires, always trying to learn but never able to reach a knowledge of the truth.

1 Peter 3:5 For this is also how the holy women who hoped in God once used to adorn themselves and were subordinate to their husbands;

Titus 2:3-5 Similarly, older women should be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers, not addicted to drink, teaching what is good, so that they may train younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, chaste, good homemakers, under the control of their husbands, so that the word of God may not be discredited.
