What does it take to get priests to serve God? Problems in the Church with ramifications throughout the world. Introduction: Father John T. Murphy PO Box 189 Eastport, N.Y. 11941 Phone (631) 846-3852 OCTOBER 2008 Dear Lover of the Babies, Now we are getting clear evidence of the diabolical vitriol which infects our American culture. The worst devil to besiege humankind, the devil of abortion - fratricide - is today showing its venomous fangs. This devil is behind every single murder of the millions of innocent unborn babies. In the history of the human race, it has always been the Roman Catholic Church that rescued civilization from diabolical destructive forces. Our Lord Jesus Christ, by His Life, Death and Resurrection, instituted the Body of faithful Who transformed the entire human race. That Body has fought against every evil which the demonic enemy could muster through the ages ... Yes, until ABORTION. We have NOT mobilized against the devil of abortion. Seemingly, that devil prevails against our modern church. Catholics of the 20th century have never resisted mightily vs abortion. Our forbears in Christ, however, have engaged in unified campaigns against all manifestations of the devil down through the centuries of Christendom. In the first centuries, their rejection of the pagan gods of the Roman Empire led to the slaughter of Christians. Those early faithful chose persecution and death, before they would follow imperial commands to incense the gods. Today, bishops and pastors, choose to accommodate, to incense, the god of abortion rather than suffer hostility. Among those saintly Catholics were popes, bishops and faithful who gladly, cheerfully, submitted to scourging, to torture, to martyrdom, before they would bow to fanatical orders to adore pagan deities. Today, the ecclesiastical spirit is, "Let's be nice to them, and they will be nice to us." Down through the ages, popes and bishops called for prayers, for penitential practices, for soldiers and armies to resist the marauding saracens who invaded all of Europe. During more than a thousand years, Islam pressed to subjugate Spain, Vienna, the Adriatic countries, Rome. In 760 A.D., Pope Leo III called upon all of Christendom to oppose the muslim hordes, and drive them back to the shores of Africa. Pope Gregory IV in 827 called upon Christians to resist the saracen invasions. From 700 to 1700 A.D., the Popes, bishops, kings, princes and the faithful everywhere in Europe, were resolute in their contest against the moors. The Mediterranean was called "The Turkish Lake", because of the numbers of moorish flotillas bent on a continual onslaught against the West. Looking back at that history, it can be said that no community in Western Civilization was without engagement by Christians against the invaders. The modern day onset of the abortion culture is demonstrably worse than all the Islamic incursions. It is worse than any fascist or communist threat. Babies are slaughtered under the nose of bishops' chancery offices and local parish churches, with hardly a whimper of complaint from pastor or bishop. A Jesuit PRIEST, Fr. Drinan, served in congress, voting 100% in favor of every abortion measure. He was an avid pro-abort. Yet, he was feted at catholic colleges and parishes everywhere. Right here in our diocese he was honored with a medal and praise at St. Joseph College.
On our knees at the abortion mill, we see boys and girls from Catholic high schools and colleges coming for abortions and mocking us who pray there. Even a local pastor berated me for praying at the mill, which is across the street from his rectory. I asked him if he thought any of the thousands of parishioners adoring Jesus Christ in his church had any moral obligation to the babies being murdered in this neighborhood. He answered, "NO!"
"Tom", I said, "No priest can ever take a girl to the abortion mill!" He angrily retorted in loud voice, "Well, what is he going to do, Jack, abandon the girl!?" I said, "THAT is abandoning the girl, to take her to the mill." The monsignor at my right elbow turned to me, and said in condescending soft voice, "Jack, suppose she is only 15 years old! I said, "The Blessed Mother was only 15 years old." All five priests at the supper table agreed with the pastor. With such clergy, the devil of abortion rules the day.
Bishops and pastors have accepted the conquest of abortion as a fait accompli. Msgr. Lisante, the pro-life leader (!) in this diocese pronounced, "I know my pro-life friends will not like to hear this, but abortion is here to stay." The abortion devil has the clergy cowed, beaten, terrified. They can not muster the zeal to preach against abortion. The devil supplies the logic NOT to mention abortion. The very word `abortion' traumatizes them.
Churchmen accommodate abortion, and the conscience of all the population is hardened. When we as a country, as a people, as a state, a town, a diocese, a parish, a family, turn our backs on the babies, and let the abortionist kill, we tell our progeny that ALL sin is trivial. Stealing, lying, fornication, adultery, ...how can these sins be serious, when all of us ignore (many approving) the murder of unborn babies by the millions. The saracen invasion of old was repulsed. But, the modern angel of death has torn asunder the moral fabric of society. Family, trust, duty, love of God, love of neighbor, every good gift of God, every virtue, is sullied in the conscience. Truth is no longer absolute. It is relative. Our bishop here stopped the organized prayer at the abortion mill. He inaugurated an annual medal ceremony at the cathedral. He publicizes the awards in his paper and on his TV He wants people to think there is a lot of good going on in the diocese. Everything has a PR bent. His apostolate is braggadocio and vanity, to present himself and his diocese as "above average", similar to Lake Woebegone, Minnesota. The truth is that the diocese, the Church, is in a desperate crisis of faith and morals. Cardinals refuse to confront the "Catholic" senators who favor killing babies. Archbishop Wuerl says, "That is not my style of ministry." Cardinal McCarrick said, "There's good people on both sides of the issue." Can you imagine Pope St. Pius V telling the Christians waging that fierce bloody battle at Lepanto in 1570, "There's good people on both sides."?! Prayer, penance, reparation is the only way to save our Church. Reparation for the sins of all the human race was the method Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself employed to rescue us. By His sufferings, we were healed. Kneeling to pray the Rosary in penance at the site of the killings is salvific. There, the location of the abortions, is the modern day Calvary. Every minute of prayer at that location works reparation. Our Blessed Mother called us to the Rosary, to prayer, penance, and reparation at Lourdes, Fatima, La Sallete, etc.. The daily Rosary is an essential start. I remember you all at Mass and prayer every day. Please pray for me. We can not despair. Prayer is rejoicing in the Lord. It is our strength. In Behalf of the Babies, Reflection: Father Murphy has related abortion to the problems in the clergy but has not recognized, at least in this article, the problem of why the priesthood has been corrupted. The truth of the matter is that many if not most priests are homosexuals. As such they cannot bring Jesus present in the Holy Eucharist so that He can accept our sacrifices to offer with His works on Holy Thursday to His and our Father. Further, He is not being carried, by moral Catholics who have received Him, into the neighborhoods to chase Satan from them. For many, if not most, only receive a piece of bread and a swallow of wine. Non moral priests are not capable of participating with Jesus at the Last Supper when the offerings of sacrifice are made. They cannot worthily associate with Him. Suffering in Hell Relating to God God is Love Home Site Map E-MAIL: Copyright © 1993-2008 by Father David C.
