"Natural Law"
Guilty or Innocent
For the purposes of this document Natural Law is defined as the instincts common to the large majority of people in regard to right and wrong, that is, one does not do anything to cause a health hazard to oneself or to others; one does not unjustly take or destroy someone else's property; one does not have sexual intercourse with another's spouse, or disparage one's parents and so forth. There are many actions that come under the rule of Natural Law.
Does "Natural Law" exist or is it merely to be treated as a theory?
While almost every activity can be found in nature we humans are held accountable for our beliefs. The actions of non-human creatures are neither rewarded in Heaven nor punished in Hell. Humans have accountability under Natural Law both to their fellow humans and to God's ultimate judgement.
Legitimate authorities will enforce Natural Law for the good of those under their control. It does little good to instruct regarding law if one is not willing to see to it that those subject to the law are appropriately disciplined when they fail to observe it.
Pope Saint Peter (Simon son of Jonah), a moral man who was given legal authority over the Church, disciplined those who had accepted his authority even to the point of having their lives taken from them. This was known only to have occurred on one occasion. It was not necessary to take such action again. (See: Acts 5:1-11)
Deadly sin is committed not only by those who perform such crimes as pedophilia, homosexual acts, willful abortion, etc., but also by those who vote for someone who approves of them. Whether these acts are or are not against public or church law does not affect the gravity of the offense against God. It does not make a difference what one's religious or non religious preference is as all will be accountable on judgement day.
Should such people die while unrepentant they will enter the fires of damnation for all eternity. If one is informed of this fact and continues to be in opposition to this knowledge the probability of effective repentance is greatly diminished. It is to be noted that problems with the economy, poverty, and other social conditions are a product of sin. The giving of approval to politicians supportive of such offenses is seen as an abomination by God.
A bishop who fails to see to it that this position is clearly annunciated, by himself first and then by his parish priests, will be subject to the eternal fires. Any pope who fails to instruct his bishops in this regard, and if necessary remove them from office, will also endure a burning afterlife.
"The road to hell will be lined with the skulls of bishops"
